Grand Opening a Huge Success!

The *Grand Opening* of the first Community Health Centre in the village on Mana in Mali, West Africa took place on Saturday, August 9th. With more than 1500 local residents and supporters in attendance, it is clear that the health centre is a welcome addition to the community. The centre will provide access to basic health care - access to care that many in the community have never had before. A team of 30 HATN volunteers took part in the celebrations and have been working to complete the finishing touches on the centre, to build a medical staff house, and install a solar power and water filtration system.
