Our Mission

Hands Across the Nation is a charitable organization committed to making a positive impact on the social and economic conditions in the developing world. Hands Across the Nations remains 100% volunteer in order to ensure the best use of its resources. Hands Across the Nations is also highly focused on “capacity building” - working within the same communities every year in order to maximize our impact and create complete solutions.

HATN maintains three points of priority:

• To enhance the quality of life for communities in the developing world; focusing on Health, Education and Water
• To build relationships through ongoing partnerships, friendships and repeat visits to the communities we serve
• To enable individuals in the developed world to gain hands-on experience serving underdeveloped communities and working alongside the people of the communities we serve.

Values

Hands Across The Nations was founded on a number of values that act as our guiding principles.  It is these values that remind us of our purpose and commitment to the developing world.

Building relationships with the individuals in the communities we serve, with our volunteers, and with our partners is the cornerstone of HATN. People are our priority.

We will continue to work in the communities we serve until it is fully sustainable and the aid we provide is no longer required.

We are accountable to our supporters.  We humbly accept and use resources given to us to further the communities in which we work.
