Mission Statement
Hands Across The Nations (HATN) is a charitable organization committed to making a positive impact on social conditions in the developing world by following the great humanitarian example of Christ. HATN maintains three points of priority:
- To enhance the quality of life for communities in the developing world; focusing on nutrition, health, shelter, education and recreation
- To build relationships through ongoing partnerships, friendships and repeat visits to the communities we serve
- To enable individuals in the developed world to gain hands-on experience serving underdeveloped communities and working alongside the people of the communities
HATN provides ACCESS to heAlth, eduCation, reCreation, watEr, Shelter, Skills. Our goal is to encourage self-sufficiency and an enhanced quality of life. We work with the leaders and people of the communities we serve to determine their needs and how best to address them. HATN volunteers work as a team with local volunteers, while sharing skills and knowledge with each other and building relationships.HATN will continue to encourage and support the communities we serve as long as there are needs that we can address.
